ANSI/IICRC S520 - Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Mold Remediation – 2008
The S520 is a procedural standard. It is based on reliable remediation principles, review of available scientific and industry literature and information and practical experience. In addition, there has been extensive consultation with, and information obtained from, numerous other sources. The Second Edition of the S520 has been updated and rewritten. An additional Chapter and Section have been added covering Building and Material Science, and an additional section has been added covering Equipment, Tools and Materials. This document supersedes the IICRC S520 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Mold Remediation (S520 First Edition 2003, 2004).

This document is written for use by those involved in the mold remediation industry, primarily for mold remediation companies and workers, and secondarily, for others who investigate or assess mold complaints, prepare remediation specifications, protocols or procedures, and manage remediation projects, (e.g., indoor environmental professionals (IEPs), other specialized experts) and finally, for other potential materially interested parties (e.g., consumers and occupants, property owners and managers, insurance company representatives, government and regulatory bodies).

ANSI/IICRC S500 - 2006 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration – 2006
The IICRC Standard for Professional Water Damage Restoration (ANSI/IICRC S500-2006) is a procedural standard. It is based on reliable restoration principles, research and practical experience. In addition, there has been extensive consultation and information obtained from numerous sources. These sources include, but are not necessarily limited to, the scientific community, the international, national and regional trade associations serving the
professional disaster restoration industry, chemical formulators and equipment manufacturers, cleaning and restoration training schools, restoration service companies, the insurance industry, allied trades persons and others with specialized experience. It is subject to further revision as developments occur in technology, testing and processing procedures.

The Third Edition of the ANSI/IICRC S500-2006 Standard and Reference Guide has been completely updated and rewritten with the best information and knowledge of the time. Additional Chapters and Sections have been added to the S500 that have not been included previously. These areas include: Building and Material Science, Psychrometry by Definition, Psychrometry and the Science of Drying, Limitations Complexities Complications and Conflicts, Structural Restoration, HVAC, Contents Evaluation Restoration and Remediation, and Large or Catastrophic Restoration. Also, note that Carpet Disengagement and Reinstallation has been moved back into the Appendix of the document.

The ANSI/IICRC S500-2006 provides a specific set of practical standards for water damage restoration. It does not attempt to teach comprehensive water damage restoration procedures; rather it provides the foundation for basic principles of proper restoration practices. ANSI/IICRC S500-2006 does not attempt to include exhaustive performance characteristics or standards for the manufacture or installation of structural components, materials and contents (personal property).

The ANSI/IICRC S500-2006 Standard and Reference Guide is presented using a two-part format: the standard itself and a supplementary reference guide. The procedural standard is featured in this first section, supported by the reference guide in the second section. The intent is to use the principles outlined in the reference guide as a tool to better understand and apply the standard itself. However, the reference guide is not considered part of this standard.

S100 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Carpet Cleaning – 2002
IICRC S100 establishes minimum standards for professional on-location cleaning of installed textile floor coverings. In so doing, it must acknowledge the critical role played by consumers in selecting and maintaining those floor coverings prior to the need for such professional cleaning. For this reason, the actual standards for cleaning are preceded by information on the importance of pre-cleaning maintenance, ways in which consumers may evaluate the qualification of professional cleaners, basic principles of cleaning, and the necessity for thorough pre-cleaning and post-cleaning inspections. Once these points are covered, standards for the application of the five common on-location cleaning methods (or variations thereof) are outlined. No attempt is made to evaluate the strength or weaknesses of individual cleaning methods or to compare or contract one method with another.

S300 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Upholstery Cleaning – 2000
IICRC S300 is a procedural standard. It has been written using reliable principles, research and practical experience, plus consultation with and information obtained from numerous sources. These include: allied tradespersons; cleaning chemical and equipment formulators and manufacturers; upholstery and furniture manufacturers; international, national and regional trade associations; organizations serving the professionals cleaning industry, both independent and franchise; cleaning industry training schools; cleaning service companies; and others with specialized experience. The IICRC S300 provides a specific set of practical standards for upholstery cleaning. It does not attempt to teach comprehensive upholstery cleaning procedures; rather, it provides the foundational principle for proper cleaning practice.
